I struggled for a LONG time. Literally, I super struggled. It was so bad and even a little embarrassing. I still cringe from embarrassment when I look back. I was bad!

in  2017, I attentempte to became a virtual agent in order to affect change on a larger scale. I was definitely tired of the day-to-day grind, time suck activities with little ROI, and overwhelm of being a traditional agent but lead generation online was not easy. 


Excited about the opportunity, I tried everything I saw other NON INSURANCE business owners doing. 

First, I thought I had to become a social media influencer a be online daily and all the time. 

You will see In these pictures, I actually went LIVE one time for 3 hours straight.  It was the day BEFORE Thanksgiving 2017.

Unfortunately, I thought showing up 100% for my community and getting tons of social media attention like the influencers was what I should focus on.

Pictured ABOVE is my credit repair flyer. I started focusing more on credit repair because confidence was gone as a virtual life agent resulting from my inability to successfully transition my business online using traditional tactics that were previously successful. 

THE PROBLEM:

I could build and audience but I couldn't figure out how to generate money from my social media activity for my life insurance business.

When I came back online, I wasn't proud to be an agent & I thought to get serious virtual leads I had to talk about something ELSE first.

Another mistake I made...

 

I thought... I had to be super professional in appearance to be taken seriously, for someone to want to join my FMCIS Agency, or for them to want to follow my virtual life agent journey.

So I was super stuffy always showing my awards, accolades, & business experience. I was always talking about insurance statistics. I felt the need to always look corporate in pictures and LIVE video training..

I was actually WRONG .

I'm so happy that I was wrong because that is totally not my style. Yes, you can mix your personal and professional brand online and attract quality leads in the social media space to be relatable and generate my own leads.

 When I got of the pity pot from having a bruised ego having years of success offline but only online embarrassment, eventually I decided to give it another shot.
